Updated HHS Guidance

Updated HHS Guidance

On Friday, June 11, 2021 the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released updated Provider Relief Fund General and Targeted Distribution Post-Payment Notice of Reporting Requirements, which supersedes the guidance released on January 15, 2021.

The updated guidance indicates that the PRF reporting portal will be fully open for reporting beginning July 1, 2021. The primary changes to the guidance relate to the spending and reporting deadlines. Under the initial guidelines the spending deadline was June 30, 2021, but the new guidelines extend that time period for distributions received after June 30, 2020 ratably based on when payments were received. The updated guidance also allows for a 90-day reporting window after the applicable deadline to use funds.  See the full guidance on the HHS website for further detail on applicable deadlines to use funds and related reporting time periods.
